Retrieving Quotes and Orders

Under the ‘Order Tracking’ tab on the website you can browse your saved quotes.  Click on the relevant quote and you can Edit to remove items, add items or increase and decrease quantities, alternatively you can just ‘Make Order’.

Under this tab you can also browse through old orders, invoices, shipments or even credit memos.

Saving Quotes or Confirming Orders

Once you’ve selected all your products, click ‘Go to Quote’ on the ‘Your Quote’ summary box.

TradeFast will automatically ship to your default address so if you have various branches please check where the goods are to be delivered in the drop down Ship-To address box.

In the Quote summary you can check on all the products you have ordered, if necessary revisit the product page by clicking on the code number, view final costs and weight information.

One of the new features to TradeFast is the ability on certain products to receive greater discounts for buying larger quantities.  On these products if you click on the ‘+’ icon your order quantity will automatically be rounded up to the next price break and your discount altered accordingly.  If you want to up your quantity by a certain amount just type the amount and click the ‘Update Quantity’ button.  To delete a product click the ‘Remove’ button or Clear to wipe the quote.

The colour of the text for the product descriptions gives an indication of availability as below:

Green – In Stock

Red – Out of Stock

Amber – In Stock but not enough to cover the required quantity

Please be aware that TradeFast will automatically put out of stock products saved in quotes or orders on back order.  If this does not suit them please remove form order before saving.

Once you have finished just enter any reference that will help you identify quotes or orders at a later stage and either ‘Save Quote’ for later or simply ‘Make Order’.  You will then receive an email giving you a brief quote summary and confirmation number

Starting a TradeFast quote:

i. If you know the products you are looking for and already have the codes then simply click on ‘New Quote’ on the home page, enter the relevant code and ‘Add to Quote’ as shown.  You can repeat this until you have finished.

If you are unsure of the codes or are just wanting to browse then the following methods are the best.

ii. Search for items using the quick search facility.  Here you enter whatever you are looking, brand names, H&C codes, manufacturer’s codes, your codes (if loaded), descriptions, head types and so on.  Try to keep the descriptions as short and accurate as you can.

E.g. ‘claw hammer’    ‘Hardman chisel’   ‘brass countersunk woodscrew’

Once you have the product you are looking for you can add it to your quote or favourites from the gallery or click on the product picture to enter that product page where there is a bigger picture and more information.  By clicking ‘Add to Quote’ TradeFast automatically starts a quote, a summary of which can be seen in the ‘Your Quote’ box in the right hand side of the screen.

iii. To browse for products you can also click on the relevant category on the Home page or use the Product Tree that appears permanently on the left of the screen.  Simply drill down the tree by clicking on the ‘+’ icons, so first under the relevant product sector, then the A to Z index and then the product.  By clicking on the product such as hammers, you will get up our entire hammer range on screen.  To narrow your search either drill down further in the tree or narrow the search by locking down in the new field search boxes at the top of the centre screen.  These boxes will only search in the section you have clicked on so in this case hammers.  To search the entire web you must go back to the main search field in the top, left of the screen.

Logging In & Passwords

To log in to TradeFast simply enter your ‘Customer ID’ and ‘User ID’ as provided by yourselves at registration and the password emailed to you in your registration confirmation email.

This password is automated and can be changed by you in the ‘My Account’ section of the website.

TradeFast can be viewed by anyone meaning you can show your customers products in store or point them in the right direction on the web but they cannot see any pricing or special offer information.  This is only viewable to logged in users.
